The internet's premiere online travel e-zine — www.justsaygo.com

“The wise man travels to discover himself.”
American poet, James Russell Lowell, (1819-1891)

Welcome Again to JustSayGo.com's TraveLetter
Beauty and the beast? That's how I felt on my last assignment covering Estelle's Paradise, a traveling television show seen by 150 American and 250 Spanish markets. Estelle Reyna and her crew were in Maine to launch John Buoniconti's 16,000-mile trek across America to fundraise for families who lose loved ones to cancer and are left with only bills as memories. This remarkable woman, along with Dominique Einhorn, owns Karma Media, which gives back a portion of its profits to worthy causes. John Buoniconti is already benefiting from the California-based support. The crew plan on following him as he walks through the country, airing various stops on his journey. Look for an upcoming story about Estelle Reyna in travelgirl magazine.

TRAVEL EASE — Columbia Sportswear Company®
Columbia Sportswear® has one of the largest selections of outdoor apparel. On the last three assignments, one JSG staffer field-tested several items from the popular clothing line. The Omni-Dry Venture Vest, designed to wick away moisture from the body, did just that. There were more than enough pockets to accommodate cameras, cell phones and sunscreen as well as a few personal items. The GRT® line, and the Silver Ridge pants and shirts, are lightweight, cool, and designed to offer proper UV protection from the sun. The clothing performed exceptionally well in a variety of climates, according to the JSG reviewer, and should be a permanent part of any outdoor wardrobe. For more information visit www.columbia.com.

Is there something you'd like reviewed? Let us know before buying a new travel item. We'll let you know if it meets JSG's standards.

TRAVEL TIP
Don't leave the country without a small roll of toilet paper. Many countries don't supply the necessity — or if they do it's handed out in small squares as people enter the lavatory. Better to be prepared than surprised.

PHANTASTIC PHOTOS
This is one way to see Jerash in Jordan. Others may prefer to just take a peek through their own glasses. Last week's photo of Florida's Ibis was taken by Ron Stern. This month's photo is from Nancy Speaks of Colorado. We have sent her a purple compact Baggallini.

Do you have a photo that deserves a spot on this page? Send it to newsletter@justsaygo.com. We'll post it here and send you a JustSayGo.Com TraveLetter prize.

TRAVEL BOOKS: COOKING WITH BAJA MAGIC
Avocado soup, Aunt Hope's First-Night-in-Camp Cole Slaw, East Cape Swordfish in Cilantro Butter, Salsa … it's all in Ann Hazard's book, Cooking with Baja Magic. Ann gives readers a mouthful of Baja Mexico's history while dishing up some of the best-kept food secrets south of any border. Not to worry. Once you finish trying the 170 recipes in this colorful treasure, you'll be ready for Ann’s next book, due any minute. To buy this book (or to see Ann's others) visit www.amazon.com.

TRAVEL ADVICE
Ear plugs anyone? Yes, we've traveled with someone else's screaming baby, making a long plane ride even longer. A few of us have had the distinct pleasure of traveling with two or three on the same plane. Ear plugs, an eye mask and even a CD player will help drown out engine noise and nearby screams. Keep sending questions and we'll answer in next month's newsletter. Email us and we'll get answers. Remember to check archived stories for more information. You can reach us at newsletter@justsaygo.com.
TRAVEL Q&A
Have any travel or security questions that need answering? Chances are we've “been there, done that.” Email us with questions and we'll get the answers. Remember to check archived stories too for more information. Email us at newsletter@justsaygo.com.
