Hiking and Backpacking Scenic Arizona

If you love the outdoors, hiking and beautiful scenery, you will want to head to picturesque Arizona. Just Roughin’ It Adventures, an Arizona based tour guide company, can help you explore some of the most spectacular areas the southwest has to offer. Just Roughin’ It Adventures offer scenic hiking and backpacking tours, for

people of all ages and fitness levels. They offer adventure packages to the most popular areas of Arizona, such as the Grand Canyon, Havasupai and Sedona, and to secluded places, where there are no other people around for miles. While exploring Arizona, with experienced guides, you will learn to carry your own gear, set up your own camp and cook your own meals.

According to Just Roughin’ It Adventures, “if you can walk, you can hike”. They offer hikes for all fitness levels (hiking scale attached). Each person determines the difficulty of their own hike; however, some destinations determine the difficulty rating

for you. The Grand Canyon-Havasupai trip is recommended for first time backpackers because there is less elevation and fewer miles. Backpacking trips to Havasupai include swimming, sun and relaxing by one-hundred and two-hundred foot waterfalls, in one of the most beautiful parts of the Grand Canyon. The most strenuous hike is the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim trip.

If you want to participate in one of the hiking or backpacking trips, but you don’t think you are physically or mentally ready for the challenge, an outdoor training program is available to help you get prepared.

A multi day trip is available, if you want to spend more than one day exploring Arizona. The multi day trips go to the more popular destinations and can be a combination of backpacking and camping or a stay at a local hotel or lodge, or a combination of both. All trips include round trip transportation from Phoenix or any location that is enroute to the destination. All gear, permits, a certified guide, trail food and a post trip meal are provided. The all inclusive trips are designed for people who do not own their own equipment or do not want to bother with all the planning. For those who don’t want all the frills, a guide only option is available. This option is perfect for those on a limited budget, who want a sense of security on the trial. The groups are small, never more than eight people per guide. All of the guides have Nationally Recognized Fitness Certification, as well as Wilderness First Aid and Responder training. The goal of the guides is to help you see as much of Arizona as possible, including those places that are physically and mentally challenging.

If a just for girls trip interests you, Just Roughin’ It Adventures will accommodate your request, as well as provide a female guide.

A solo hiker or a small group, wanting to vacation with people who share their interest in hiking and backpacking, can participate in the join a trip program, which allows you or your small group to join an existing trip.

If your goal is to have fun and meet new people, while hiking some of the most beautiful areas in Arizona, you should consider booking a trip with Just Roughin’ It Adventures. No matter what your age or fitness level, this tour guide company can plan a trip to meet your needs.
